Signs That Tell You’re Being Taken Advantage of at Work by Jay Holstine
Here are a few signs that can tell you are being taken undue advantage of at work.
You Are Handed Over a Lot of Extra Work
If you are given more work than others at the workplace, and you have to spend a considerable amount of extra time doing it, then chances are that you are being used. Remember that before anyone hands over some extra work to you, they need to ask you if that is alright and if you have the kind of time and energy to take up more work at that point. If you are given more work without being asked, then boundaries are being crossed, which is definitely not okay.
You Are Not Taken Seriously
If your opinion is not given enough weightage and no contribution you make to the team is recognized, then this shows that you are being taken undue advantage of at work. Remember that you are a valuable employee, and everything you do has to be looked upon very seriously. If that does not happen, then there is seriously something wrong with your workplace, and you need to do something to fix this problem, says Jay Holstine.
